Compensation & Benefits: Salary for the role is anticipated to range from $200,000 to $220,000, commensurate with
experience. Metro Caring offers a competitive benefits package, including health, dental, vision,

Volunteer Partnership & Engagement Coordinator

Reports To: Senior Manager of Volunteer & Employee Engagement
Location: 1100 E. 18th Ave., Denver, CO 80218
Schedule: Metro Caring currently operates on a four-day workweek with Fridays off. Most work takes place during standard office and market hours, with one evening shift required each week.
Compensation: $30.04-$33.65 per hour, full-time, non-exempt (annualized range: $49,987-$55,994)
The Volunteer Partnership & Engagement Coordinator is responsible for cultivating and supporting Metro Caring’s volunteer community through volunteer recruitment, training, engagement, and retention. This role also builds and maintains partnerships with schools, corporations, and community organizations. Responsibilities include volunteer communications, onboarding, scheduling, appreciation programs, and data management, ensuring volunteers have a meaningful and impactful experience aligned with Metro Caring’s mission and values. The coordinator collaborates across departments, supports operational improvements, leads tours and volunteer groups, and helps foster a welcoming, equitable, and mission-driven environment.

The Volunteer Recruitment & Outreach Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, training, supporting, and retaining volunteers while strengthening community engagement in support of Metro Caring’s mission to address hunger and advance food justice. This role oversees volunteer outreach, orientations, scheduling, communications, appreciation initiatives, and community partnerships to ensure a positive volunteer experience and adequate program coverage. The coordinator also manages volunteer data and records, supports process improvements, collaborates across teams, and serves as a key ambassador for Metro Caring’s values of equity, inclusion, and community-driven impact.
Food Access Steering Committee Member
People most impacted by an unjust and failing food system should be in positions to lead, shape, and drive community centered programs that exist to meet their needs. Metro Caring is looking to recruit 8 members for a Food Access Steering Committee composed of directly impacted community members and food producers. In collaboration with Metro Caring staff, the committee will help guide and support the Food Access program’s major projects and decisions.
