Urban Gardening 101 for High Schoolers

Build on the knowledge students may already have of how plants grow and how we as humans interact with them, not only regarding our food but also the well-being of our planet and all living things. We’ll focus on the importance of food sovereignty for all people, land rights and land use, and urban agriculture as a professional field.

Classes will meet in the Metro Caring Education Center. Please register to attend these free classes.

August 13, 2024: Plants and Us
Build on the knowledge participants may already have of how plants grow and how we as humans interact with them, not only regarding our food, but also the well-being of our planet and all living things.

August 20, 2024: Food Sovereignty and Urban Ag
Focus on the importance of Food Sovereignty for all people, land rights and land use, and Urban Agriculture as a professional field.
