Join the Movement
Roots to Rise Society members are friends, organizations, and businesses who want to ensure our programs can take root to grow and mature. This multi-year giving society honors donors who have made a five-year pledge of $1,000 or more.
The Greenhouse is a group of Metro Caring supporters who give monthly. Just like a greenhouse keeps temperatures warm year-round, your monthly gift can create a place of nourishment, sustainability, and growth for our community 365 days a year.
Perennial Roots offers the opportunity to ensure our anti-hunger programs will thrive for decades to come while advancing your own financial plan. Like perennials that grow back year after year, bequests and estate gifts leave an everlasting impact on your community.
One-Time Donation
Any donation made this evening—whether you join a giving society or make a one-time gift—will help unlock the challenge gift. Your generosity will be doubled to have an even stronger impact on our community.
Uprooting hunger, together.
Cornucopia 2024 Community Awards
Founders for Change Award:
Colorado Blueprint to End Hunger
In 1974, five organizations thought they could have a greater impact if they worked together. This special 50th anniversary Founders for Change Award honors a community organization that embodies the same spirit of collaboration of Metro Caring’s founders and are at the root of building our future without hunger.
The Blueprint launched 5 years ago to end hunger in Colorado by increasing enrollment in public benefits, expanding school nutrition programs, and better supporting organizations like ours. After 5 years, Blueprint is re-launching as a coalition focused on the co-creation of statewide food sovereignty. Metro Caring has been a partner member of the Blueprint from the beginning and we look forward to working with them in their next chapter.
Catalyst for Change:
Cinthya Garcia
This individual works to better life, not just for themselves, but for their entire community. They embody Metro Caring’s values “Pursue Equity” and “Champion the Mission.”
Cinthya is a dedicated interpreter for Metro Caring, which has unlocked her power to fight for food and economic security, not only for herself but for the entire community. Leading by example, Cinthya has participated in multiple lobby days, showing up at the Capitol to speak with representatives, while interpreting for others so they can do the same. She is one of the strongest voices in our community, consistently elevating the experiences of those around her and empowering others to find their own voice.
Passion for Change:
Cliff Marian, Jr.
This individual is a valued part of our community, not for what they do, but for the spirit in which they do it. They embrace Metro Caring’s values “Find the Joy” and “Rise Together.”
Cliff has led our Wednesday evening and Sunday volunteer shifts, keeping everything in the warehouse running smoothly and leaving the space in pristine conditions for the next morning. His deep knowledge of the food industry has also played a vital role in strengthening our partnerships as we continue to grow.
