Join the Movement

Roots to Rise Society members are friends, organizations, and businesses who want to ensure our programs can take root to grow and mature. This multi-year giving society honors donors who have made a five-year pledge of $1,000 or more.

The Greenhouse is a group of Metro Caring supporters who give monthly. Just like a greenhouse keeps temperatures warm year-round, your monthly gift can create a place of nourishment, sustainability, and growth for our community 365 days a year.

Perennial Roots offers the opportunity to ensure our anti-hunger programs will thrive for decades to come while advancing your own financial plan. Like perennials that grow back year after year, bequests and estate gifts leave an everlasting impact on your community.

One-Time Donation

Any donation made this evening—whether you join a giving society or make a one-time gift—will nourish our community with nutritious food, wellness and cooking classes, and opportunities to raise their voices to create change.

Hungry for Change Award:
Colorado Homes for All

This award celebrates the bold leadership of organizations that make a significant impact in improving the health of our communities and addressing the root causes of hunger.

Colorado Homes For All is a coalition of organizations that have come together from every corner of Colorado to build a grassroots housing movement for equity and justice. Their commitment to building renter power, shifting narratives, and advocating for systemic change makes them an essential partner in creating a Colorado where everyone has a safe and stable home at a price they can afford.

Catalyst for Change:
Elaine Pratt

This individual works to better life, not just for themselves, but for their entire community. They embody Metro Caring’s values of “Pursue Equity” and “Champion the Mission.”

Elaine is a champion for her community inside and outside the walls of Metro Caring. As a volunteer, she has done nearly every role, ensuring our community feels welcome and heard. A graduate of our Voices at the Table program, Elaine attends lobby days at the Capitol, meets with elected officials, and boldly shares her experiences with hunger and unaffordable housing to remind all of us why and how we need to change the systems that hold communities back.

Passion for Change:
The Wimmer-Ferguson-Mitchell Family

This award recognizes valued members of our community, not for what they do, but for the spirit in which they do it. They embrace Metro Caring’s values “Find the Joy” and “Rise Together.”

For Ruth, Costa, and Katharine, volunteering at Metro Caring is a family affair. For years, they have brought an endless amount of energy—from Ruth’s warm greeting as she checks in community members, Costa’s willingness to brave the cold temperatures to load groceries into people’s cars and keep Metro Caring clean and tidy, and Katharine’s go-getter attitude to jump into any role that’s needed.
