The Way We Use Information
We use demographic data primarily for reporting to granting agencies, such as government offices and foundations. Data is reported in aggregate, meaning your personal information (such as your name, address, or contact information) is never tied to the demographic information we share in grant reporting. For example, we may share that 50% of our nutrition class participants self-identified as Hispanic/Latine, but we will never share a list of names of people who participated.
Other information, such as contact information (email, phone number), is never shared outside of Metro Caring. We do not sell any information to other organizations or businesses for any reason. We also do not share information regarding a financial donation with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that donation.
Our Commitment to Data Security
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. Your data may be stored using third-party software.
Your Rights to Your Data
You have the right to access, obtain a portable copy of, correct, delete, and opt out of disclosing personal data. You may submit a request to access, correct, or delete your data online or by speaking with a staff member.
