Metro Caring’s Diabetes Self-Management Support Program is a six-week course designed to provide tools for people with diabetes and their loved ones to eat well, monitor blood glucose, be active, and manage stress. Participants learn and share with others experiencing diabetes, with support from Registered Dietitians and peer leaders. Everyone creates a weekly action plan to achieve their goals and has access to a shopping trip at Metro Caring after attending class.
This class in English language will be held at WellPower at the Dahlia campus, and YOU are invited!

To help more people affected by the delay in November SNAP benefits, Metro Caring is switching Monday food distribution for the rest of 2025 to prepackaged boxes. The Fresh Foods Market will be closed on Mondays, and we will be sharing prepackaged boxes of food in our parking lot. Boxes include items like rice, dried pinto beans, canned tomatoes, and fresh produce. Eggs and meat are also available.
In need of groceries soon? We have extra food boxes available during our Monday afternoon times. Please come by on Mondays at 1:00 - 3:00pm or 4:00 - 6:00pm, even if you do not have an appointment.
If you had a Monday appointment for the Fresh Foods Market scheduled, our team will contact you by phone or email to reschedule within the same week or to keep an appointment on Monday for a box. If we do not have your contact information, please email us at
