DESCRIPTION: Join us for a week of celebrating our amazing volunteers! Sign up for a shift and enjoy food from local business\, swag\, and prizes. \nWe want to thank Alpine Bank for being the official sponsors of Metro Caring’s Volunteer Appreciation Week! \n  \nSunday\, April 20\nLunch 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Spend time with us during the weekend and enjoy lunch donated by our three-year partner\, Stoney’s Uptown Joint! \n  \nMonday\, April 21\nVolunteer Potluck 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. Bring a dish\, a friend\, and family to our annual volunteer potluck! (Bringing a dish is optional. We’d love for you to join us whether you bring something or not.) We will also have sweet treats from our three-year partner Nothing Bundt Cakes\, and Ben and Jerry’s will be scooping ice cream for you! \n  \nTuesday\, April 22\nLunch 11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Come volunteer with us during the morning or afternoon shifts to and enjoy some lunch from our community caterer D.C Eats! \nDinner 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. Join us for the evening shift and dive into delicious pizza courtesy of Cosmo’s Pizza for the third year in a row. \n  \nWednesday\, April 23\nLunch 11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. We’ll have lunch from our community caterer Combi Tacos and some sweet desserts courtesy of Del Frisco’s Grille. \nDinner 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. Volunteer during our evening shift for a delicious spread from our community caterer Valparaiso Mi Amor. \n  \nThursday\, April 24\nBreakfast 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. For the early risers that like spending their mornings with us\, we’ll have breakfast burritos made by the Volunteer Team. \nIce Cream Bar 11:00 – 11:30 a.m. Ice cream for lunch? Sometimes you have to treat yourself. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a nutrition cooking class in partnership with Nourish Colorado. \nThis is a 6-week\, FREE cooking class for adults. It will be held at Metro Caring and include snacks and samples\, as well as the opportunity to make new friends. Class will begin on Tuesday\, March 8th from 3 – 5 p.m. in our kitchen and will be presented in English. \nEmail Andrea to sign up today.
